Build a constructed course
Enter a race's course and this page works out the distance and compass course of every leg, ready for a scoring program to load as an ORC constructed course. Take the course from a club's course card, or enter the marks yourself.
This page doesn't save anything. To come back to a race later, bookmark the page or use the Copy a link to this race button at the bottom: opening the link brings back everything you entered.
The course
Choose a club to use its charted marks in the course and to see the course on its chart.
Use the marks' letters or names from the card, separated by commas. Add /p or /s if a mark is left to port or starboard; that only changes the drawing.
Where the marks were
Choose a course first.
The course, in order
The marks in the order the boats sail them, from the start to the finish. A mark can be used more than once.
The legs
The file for your scoring program
The file leaves the wind out, so your scoring program uses the wind you give it there. Courses are in degrees magnetic, as the format requires.
